Orientation

I see people as inherently whole. Although many people don’t see themselves this way, I know that underneath the struggle, everyone has a natural capacity to heal that can be covered over but never lost.

The nature of wounding is that it can cut us off from that wholeness and the healing power of connection. For some, they’ve been disconnected for so long it feels as if it was never there. And my work is all about forming a genuine relationship together that offers the safety and direction you need to discover what needs attention, process and integrate your wounds, and connect to yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

You don't need to become someone else. What you need is already there.

Approach

My approach is integrative, drawing on:

  • Somatic therapy: learning the language of the body to help you discover and work with what the body is holding

  • Nervous system-based therapy: helping your nervous system learn it's safe to feel, so emotions become something you can stay with rather than something that overwhelms you

  • Interpersonal neurobiology: creating genuine relational encounters together that create meaningful changes in the brain and body

  • Applied neuroscience: drawing on what research shows about how the brain changes, so the work leads to change that lasts

  • Experiential therapy: creating intentional moments of new relational and emotional experience that change the brain and body in both small incremental ways and big transformational ways

  • Gestalt: become aware of and staying with the present-moment experience

  • Parts work (IFS): noticing and welcoming all parts of you as they arrive and treating them with respect and care

  • Mindfulness: incorporating present moment awareness to access deep emotional truths, process difficult experiences, and build healthy self-relationship
